The hotel is situated in a picturesque hillside location with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The rooms are stylish, large, and well-equipped, offering a comfortable stay. The staff at the hotel are friendly and provide excellent service, going above and beyond to assist guests. The breakfast provided is included and offers a satisfying start to the day. Additionally, guests can enjoy the large balcony and its breathtaking view.

The hotel can be quite windy at times, but this is something beyond the control of the staff.

The rooms at Chayote Lodge are seriously amazing. We stayed in the Recibidor Suite and it was like stepping into a dream. The decor was so cozy and charming, it felt like a home away from home. We loved the unique design and how it made us feel relaxed and pampered at the same time. As a young family, we really appreciated the spaciousness of the room, it gave us plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our time together.

Okay, so here's the thing. The only little downside for us was the bathroom in the Forest Suite.

The view was absolutely breathtaking! We couldn't get enough of the stunning scenery surrounding the hotel. The receptionist, Edgar, was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed delicious local food at the restaurant, especially the steamed Tilapia in Banana leaf - it was a real treat. The open fire in the restaurant added a cozy touch to the chilly evenings.

Our room lacked privacy with small windows that allowed anyone to look inside, even into the bathroom. We were also disturbed during breakfast as the restaurant staff decided to clean the windows, creating unnecessary noise.

As longer term business travelers, we loved the beautifully decorated rooms with coffee-themed decor and the amazing bed. the location on top of a hill offered stunning views of San Jose and a romantic sunrise.

Felt cared for, nothing to complain about.

After a long day of travel, we wanted a relaxing spot close to the airport. Chayote Lodge was perfect. The view from our cabin was breathtaking, and the grounds were well-maintained with beautiful flowers. The restaurant/bar had great food and a charming atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provide excellent service. The location was remote, which added to its charm. this was one of the best hotels we've stayed in, and we highly recommend it.
